The restoration of the unity of Germany as a state affected
our work as well: The new education policy focused
on bringing together the eleven old and the five new Laender.
Therefore, in order to assimilate both vocational education
systems, requirements analyses were carried out to establish
a common functional network of intersupra-company training
GUS developed planning guidelines for space and equipment
design in job training centres. The guidelines included
the technical details and space requirements of diverse
skilled professions as well as a list of the required machines,
tools and equipment.
Several vocational schools (Oberstufenzentren - OSZ) were
built in the eastern part of Berlin.
